Once a month, MDDP parents are invited to a casual, 30-minute virtual conversation focused on different topics that offer insight into your dancer’s experience at MDDP. Each session will include helpful information, conversation, and time for questions.

What Is Your Child Actually Learning?

We’ll take a closer look at what happens inside the dance classroom beyond learning choreography, including:
What goes into a typical dance class and why each part matters
What progress looks like at different ages and levels
The skills dancers develop beyond technique, including confidence, focus, teamwork, and independence
Why repetition and corrections are an important part of learning
How teachers determine when a dancer is ready to advance
What teachers notice and celebrate that parents may not always see
How parents can support their dancer’s growth at home
There will also be time at the end for parent questions and conversation.
